Site presents Site 004. Winter Solstice, a one-night experience celebrating the eve of the longest night of the year. Opening on December 20, the alternative presentation features works by seven visual artists working with found objects, furniture, kinetics, interventions, and more, alongside two sonic artists engaging with the physicality of noise. The artists explore the primal, multi-sensory dimensions of presence, examining the power of collective reflection, hibernation, and redefinition ritual. The collection is an invitation to engage in dialogue between reflecting absence and rekindling lost companionships–a search for meaning within the orbital cycles of our practices. Through an interplay of horizontal traces and tactile imprints, the presentation reveals the tangible passage of time, from the fading light of sunset to the cyclical pulse of the 23.5° axis during the winter solstice, where time pauses and circles back in moments of stillness.
