Danny Glass at the Las Olas River House
Danny Glass 15 PT recently installed a solo exhibition at the Las Olas River House, a large residential building in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

The River House recently transformed its large lobby space into multiple art galleries. I am thrilled to be part of this innovative renovation. There is something special about showing art in the center of a vibrant community right next to people’s homes. RISD’s education contributed to my ability to land this installation deal with the building, organize and undertake the large installation of over 30 paintings, and carry out a multi-months long exhibition program including private guided tours as well as events.
The show features five distinct exhibitions that highlight my work as a contemporary expressionist painter. I invite viewers to slow down and meaningfully engage with their own humanity. In a time when countless images flash before our eyes only to be quickly forgotten, we risk losing touch with the all-too-human intuitions and feelings that guide our understanding of the world. By focusing on people, space and color, I hope to bring to light the hidden meanings we all too often ignore in our everyday experiences. Through intricately designed portrayals of human life, each painting endeavors to reveal the innate humanness of our complex, technologically driven contemporary world.
