"I attended RISD for three years, 1989–1991. I came as an older student with a work background in textiles from NYC. I grew up in Washington Heights, NYC. I had our daughter Lily in 2001. I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Skilled Long-Term Healthcare so that our family could move from our 1-bedroom apartment, save and buy a house in the Poconos, PA. I had some great textile jobs back then, including working for an NYC company that made customer fabrics with the Turkish mills for the LeClerc weavers.
Our daughter Lily is in the Navy and just got back from their carrier 10-month deployment to Ukraine. Our family has many cultures, including the Mi'kmaq tribe from PEI and Nova Scotia. Thank you for being so acknowledging of us all!"
