Opening reception: Sat, June 24, 2023, 4 pm - 7 pm ET

Work by Lee Ann Scotto Adams 03 IL will be featured in Striking the Set, a four-person group exhibition on view from June 21–July 13, 2023.

Striking the Set, curated by Alicia Renadette, explores the home as a psychological state. The exhibition will be on view at Overlap, in Newport, RI, with an opening reception on Saturday, June 24 from 4–7 pm.

Lee Ann writes, “I am primarily drawn to landscapes; I love painting middle-class, suburban architecture and all of the human details, like satellite dishes, tipped chairs, and chain link fences. These mundane objects belie the complex human experience of the dwellers. I like the juxtaposition, and I find an unexpected freedom in painting my surroundings.”
