Illustrations for "Tales from the Ant World"
I have created fifteen illustrations of various ant species for the book Tales from the Ant World by renowned biologist and Pulitzer prize-winning author E.O. Wilson.
The book reflects on Wilson's long career studying ants and highlights some of his most memorable experiences with them. The illustrations were created by observing minuscule ant specimens, collected by Wilson from locations all over the world, under a high-powered microscope in the Ant Lab of Dr. Adrian Smith at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
