In memoriam: Robert Kensinger 77 FAV
"A month ago my father, Robert Kensinger 77 FAV, passed away peacefully, albeit suddenly. We didn’t have time to say goodbye, no one did, but he knew I loved him, and I knew he loved me. We were incredibly close and sent each other texts daily. He’d been living in Astoria, Oregon the last few years- a beautiful seaside town with incredibly friendly people (and great coffee, something that made him happy daily).
He was a phenomenal set decorator for film and TV, working for more than 30 years in the industry on films like Austin Powers, Pineapple Express, Superbad, and many, many others. He even began his career in LA right after RISD with none other than Orson Welles, working as his personal assistant for two years. On top of all that, he was an incredible father. He never failed in his shows of support, affection, and comfort; he was truly one of a kind. A unique and incredibly deep-thinking soul, the world is less without him."
