"Keepers"
Keepers is an intimate exhibition of figure paintings exploring the often unnoticed gestures of care, protection, and the act of holding something—or someone—dear. Each piece considers what it means to be a keeper: of memory, of relationships, of vulnerability. Keepers is a reflection on the human instinct to watch over what we cherish and the profound, complex beauty of that impulse.
Featuring Samira Abbassy, Brett Bigbee, Katherine Bradford, David Driskell, Elizabeth King Stanton, Stephen Pace, Chris Roberts-Antieau, Emily Stark-Menneg, and MJ Viano Crowe.
There will be an opening on Friday, April 25th from 5pm - 7pm at the Portland gallery (100 Fore Street, Portland ME 04101) if you'd like to join us! A week after the show is installed, installation shots will be available on the website.
