Ian Smith Will Be Recognized by NOMA
I am participating in the 2nd group of a two-part virtual presentation series featuring 2019 Honor Award-winning work—recognized at the 2019 NOMA Phil Freelon Professional Design Awards—on May 28, 7-8 p.m. ET.
An award is given out annually by the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). Ian Smith Design Group (IS-DG) received an honor award in the Small Projects category for its design services for a bouldering gymnasium.
A conventional parametric modeling analysis technique was used to translate the irregular geometries into architectural direction in conjunction with a loose narrative inspired by the name of the business, Tufas.
