Introducing a Fusion of Culture and Style: Fatima C. Souare
[October, 15, 2023] The Fall/Winter debut collection titled Wrapped to Perfection will showcase seasonal headwear and scarves for protective styling. Headwear that captures the interplay between the strength and softness of femininity; a concept that lies at the heart of her creations.
Fatima Camara, an emerging Guinean American designer, is set to make her mark in the fashion industry with the launch of her fashion brand Fatima C. Souare. Her unique fusion of African styling traditions with modern design has resulted in a collection with a distinctive look and feel.
Fatima takes an avant-garde interpretation of the revered African headwrap. Refashioned in a durable faux leather, the gem of the show is the “Wrapped Crown.” The Wrapped Crown is Fatima’s signature design. It features pleated style lines and draping. The Wrapped Crown will be available on a made to order basis with the option for a custom fit.
The official debut of Fatima’s eponymous label, “Fatima C. Souare,” will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The launch event will be held at the Art to Ware retail store from 12:30PM to 6:30PM, conveniently located in the Port Authority Bus Terminal (South Wing). Art to Ware is a curated wearable art gallery that carries one-of-a-kind statement pieces by creative visionaries.
