Sarah Guerin BArch 99 built a pair of boots titled Flags of our Foremothers for the exhibition Fashioning America: Grit to Glamour, which runs from September 10, 2022–January 30, 2023 at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

The boots use the iconography of the American flag and the processes of hand-sewing to honor Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Ona Judge, Ida B. Wells, Susan B. Anthony, Sacagawea, and Guerin's mother, Marty Guerin. A reception for Fashioning America will be held on October 26, 2022.
