"CONVIVIUM"
LI&Co atelier co-founder and New York and Hong Kong-based interior architect Johnny Li, will unveil CONVIVIUM, at Milan Design Week 2025.
CONVIVIUM is an installation of his furniture collection that invites us to gather, play and interact.
Inspired by the traditional game of Mahjong, CATHERINE, a modern mahjong table, merges heritage with modern design. Its collapsible base frame and foldable top, which can be stored as a compact triangle, ensure function and convenience. Four TETSU chairs, upholstered in eco-friendly Kvadrat fabric, offer comfort with a touch of luxury, while the TAY stool effortlessly transforms into a side table. The TYLER rocking chair introduces a playful rhythm and graceful movement, reimagining a classic form with sculptural elegance. Completing this refined ensemble, a custom hand-tufted rug evokes the delicate beauty of The Lotus, a poem by 8th-century Chinese poet Li Bai.
Meticulously handcrafted in Italy by Studio F from recovered wood, CONVIVIUM explores themes of connection–expressed through materiality, motion, and memory–brought together in a celebration of master craftsmanship and contemporary design.
