Connecting Strangers in Isolation Through Postcard Exchanges

I recently founded a global act-of-kindness project that is quickly reaching even the farthest corners of the world.

Stay Home. Reach Out. seeks to bring humanity and kindness into our disrupted lives in COVID-19 isolation. The website helps to open ourselves to new connections of global human understanding.

The irony of modern society is that for all the technological connections that exist, we are actually more isolated than ever. The personalized algorithms in today’s technology reinforce the echo chamber of our own ideas, separating us from people outside of our everyday. Let's take this opportunity of isolation to reach out to people we would not ordinarily connect with. Sending a postcard makes you connect with another person on a human level that cannot be matched by emails, text messages or social media posts.

How are you dealing with the isolation? What are your challenges? What are your joys? What are your hopes and dreams? Share it with a stranger via postcard. Someone else will likewise send you a postcard from yet another part of the world.
