Collaging Over Zoom

I am a RISD Graduate from 2017, from the GD program. I moved to Chicago shortly after graduation and started working at a studio called Thirst–now known as Span.

Our team of eight has been working from home for four weeks now, and it’s certainly been a big adjustment. With the extra time at home, I’ve been able to do one of my favorite activities: collage.

I’ve given collage workshops to my friends before Chicago was entirely shelter-in-place, but now we have been collaging over Zoom. The works are shared daily on my Instagram, where I’ve received lots of love and encouragement.

I’m thankful to have an off-screen activity, where I get lost in the act of making. It’ss a much-needed break from the constant stream of news about COVID-19.

A sample of the collages I've made during the shelter-in-place order.
