Book release: "The Americans I Met"
With a Fulbright grant and the support of RISD, Viktor Hübner MFA 19 PH was able to undertake a major photojournalistic project that will be released this November 2022.
The project will be presented at Photo Paris (November 10–13) and a launch event on November 19 in Berlin. The presale of the book is now online.
After hitchhiking over 16,000 miles across the United States between 2017–2019, and five years of work, Hübner's first photo book The Americans I Met will be published by André Frère Editions. The long-term project is based on countless personal encounters on the road with strangers who hosted Hübner in their homes for at least one night. The Americans I Met is an intimate insight that explores the zeitgeist of contemporary American society from an outsider's perspective through photography and writing.
