Alumni launches vegan-friendly accessories business
Rachael Becker 04 AP owner of Heavy Leather NYC has launched a new business called DIPHDA, making vegan-friendly accessories for people and pets.
For the past 13 years Becker's company Heavy Leather NYC made leather goods, primarily custom work with guitar straps. Her customers include Prince, Justin Timberlake, Black Sabbath, Motörhead, and many more.
In February 2021 she launched a new venture, DIPHDA, making Cross-Species Accessories, vegan-friendly accessories for people and pets. There is a large charitable element to the business model, all materials are sustainable, and the product is made locally in Los Angeles.
