Affinity Group Highlight: RISD Art & Design Educators (RADE)
RADE is a multidisciplinary group connecting alumni in art and design education, including K-12, post-secondary, museum education, community arts, online teaching and more. RADE provides a welcoming and supportive community for sharing experiences and career development. Keep an eye out for invites to our upcoming events happening in 2025.

At the Museum: The Let Out
On view through January 26, 2025
Commissioned by the RISD Museum, The Let Out activates contemporary fashion garments donated to the collection by Mark Pollack 76 TX. With the support of their team, Ryan Cardoso and DJ Chappel used this collection to style more than 40 characters. The resulting work presents a scene taking place at the end of a fashion event.

RISD Seeks Honorary Degree Nominations From the Community
President Williams invites alumni to submit nominations for the Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degrees to be presented at Commencement 2026. The honorary doctorate is the highest academic honor awarded by RISD. Nominations should be submitted no later than November 30, 2024.

During President Crystal Williams' recent visit to Los Angeles, she shared the exciting, innovative things that are happening on campus and how RISD community members around the globe are preparing for the upcoming 150th celebrations.
We extend our gratitude to Michael Maltzan BArch 85 P 24 for sharing insights into his firm’s transformation of the Hammer Museum at our RISD in Los Angeles Event, and to Gabrielle Bullock BArch 84 for leading a special tour of Destination Crenshaw for alumni, friends and family members.
