Alumni + Family Relations Leadership Changes
On August 5, Executive Director of Alumni + Family Relations Jonencia Wood left to return to Mt. Holyoke College as Assistant Vice President for Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
Jonencia joined RISD in March 2021 and during her tenure she developed a new five-year strategic plan for Alumni + Family Relations. Under her leadership, we have expanded our global alumni engagement and the number of alumni that serve on the Alumni Association Leadership Council. In addition, Jonencia led the growth of our regional alumni clubs and affinity groups, including several identity-based groups; expanded the use of the RISD Network; and played a leadership role in the very successful Commencement + Reunion Weekend.
We are grateful to Christina Hartley 74 IL P 09 who had been serving as Senior Alumni + Family Relations Officer with a focus on global engagement, will return as Interim Executive Director of Alumni + Family Relations, effective August 22.
