Get Involved: Regional Club Alumni Volunteers
RISD’s Regional Clubs are geographically-based alumni communities serving to connect alumni to one another and to the school, primarily through in-person events and activities.
RISD Regional Clubs welcome alumni and students with interest or affiliation regardless of race, ethnicity, orientation, gender expression and identity, cultural background or regional location.
REGIONAL EVENTS
- CONNECT alumni, families and friends to create a stronger global community
- FOSTER ongoing relationships with students and recent alumni to help navigate life after RISD
- ENHANCE the lives of participants through professional, social and cultural programs of interest
- GROW local RISD communities
- PROMOTE RISD through the club’s presence in metropolitan areas and highlight alumni achievements

Volunteer Leaders
Regional Club Volunteer Leaders are essential to the lasting impact and success of the clubs. Volunteer Leaders can propose and lead events that align with their interests. Each region has its own rhythm, and RISD’s Regional Programs Officer works with you to determine what is best for your community.
DUTIES
- Help organize, plan and coordinate regional events for alumni with Alumni + Family Relations
- Event roles: greet attendees, capture accurate attendance, photograph events, research venues and opportunities, coordinate speakers, food or supplies, and more depending on programming
- Attend regional club events and encourage the same from others in your network
- Maintain open communication with the Office of Alumni + Family Relations
- Recruit volunteers and help with succession for club longevity
- Schedule or attend most club planning meetings
REQUIREMENTS
- A commitment to RISD and the aims of an art & design education
- Belief in the importance of alumni support of RISD
- Commitment to advanced planning to align with institutional timelines and communications policies
- Enthusiasm as an ambassador representing RISD in a positive manner
- Creative thinking in planning relevant events with limited budgets, willingness to ask for help
- Signs and adheres to volunteer confidentiality agreement, which allows us to share alumni contact info
