Get involved! Volunteer with the Alumni Association

From events hosted by regional clubs and affinity groups, reunion planning and supporting alumni programming to engaging alumni, students and friends in the advancement of RISD, the Alumni Association is a potent network of creative leaders who champion RISD and one another.

This summer, the Alumni Association Leadership Council (AALC) is launching several new committees that support various initiatives and foster lifelong connections to RISD. These committees include the Affinity Groups Committee, Global Committee, Regional Clubs Committee, Reunion Committee and Student-Alumni Committee. We are excited to launch these alumni-led opportunities, and we hope you will join us.

Interested in taking part? Please complete this volunteer interest form by Friday, August 10.

Terra Carta Design Labs Finalists

RISD has announced the shortlist for the Terra Carta Design Lab. The finalists, which feature several alumni-led projects, were selected by a diverse and dynamic panel of jurists from RISD and beyond, including designers, architects, scientists, material researchers and public art curators.

Our Community is Growing

Our regional clubs are expanding! Launching later this year, new regional clubs will be organizing events in Baltimore, Sarasota and Cape Cod. We’d love for you to get involved. We are also seeking additional leadership for some of our established clubs, including Seattle, Portland (OR) and Austin. Want to know more? Email alumni@risd.edu and let us know.

At the Museum: Listen!

On view through January 5, 2025

The RISD Art Circle (RAC) members, a group of teens from Rhode Island and Massachusetts, have curated the museum's new exhibition, Listen! RAC members selected the 30 historical and contemporary works on paper because they found them urgent and powerful, directly addressing issues they face and offering hope for the future.

Affinity Group Spotlight: RISD Queer Alumni

RISD Queer Alumni is dedicated to building an inclusive and connected community by highlighting queer artists and designers, their work and their stories. RISD Queer Alumni is actively planning events for later this summer and fall, so keep an eye on your inbox for more ways to connect.

Announcing our 2025 Alumni Travel Destinations

We are partnering with Odysseys Unlimited to provide unique, small-group excursions exclusively for RISD alumni and their guests. Our 2025 destinations explore the culture and hospitality of Morocco with our “Moroccan Discovery” excursion (April 15-28, 2025) and the beauty and tradition of Vietnam with “Journey through Vietnam” (October 9-23, 2025).

Talented Project Open Door Grads Earn Full Scholarships to RISD
