"The Sibling Rule"
The Sibling Rule, a film by Mari SanGiovanni 88 IL, was selected to be in Her Vision Film Festival & Pride event in NYC on June 23 at Slate-NYC 54 W. 21st St., New York, NY.
Mari wrote and directed the film which stars Boston actors and has already won two bronze awards at the Independent Shorts Awards International Film Festival in LA for Best Woman Short and Best LGBTQ Short. The Sibling Rule is a finalist in the Red Movie Awards in France.
The film is about two women who get married in order to keep their kids in the same school together…but complications arise when the marriage becomes real. The cinematographer and editor of the film is fellow alum Paul Falcone 88 FAV.
This is Mari’s first film for the LGBTQ+ community, however, she is the author of three novels, and her fourth novel will be out next spring.
