Intersection of Health Care and Arts
I graduated from RISD in 1967 and did sculpture for 25 years, mixed media work on paper for 20 years, and now I'm back to kinetic sculpture for the past three years.
A few years ago, I launched a new project called Healing Circle Artworks, where my aim is to place suspended kinetic, wall-mounted and ceiling-installed work in healthcare and healing environments. The photographic imagery is primarily of nature, and the work is suited to providing a restorative and healing atmosphere for patients and caregivers. Thus far, my work has been installed in emergency shelters, civic spaces and in a rehabilitative clinic. A new piece was most recently purchased by New York City Health + Hospitals. I welcome any inquiries from architects, designers and art consultants who work in the intersection of healthcare and the arts.
