
Charuma Tea Bar—a collaboration between RISD + JWU alumni
Tony Chen 14 ID, Jenny (Shao-Ning) Lu 19 IA, and Tom (Fu-Tang) Chang from JWU worked together to launch the tea bar
In 2019, two friends (Tom & Tony) came together and created the original concept of Charuma Tea Bar. Charuma Tea Bar introduces its customers to different types of tea from Taiwan, along with authentic Taiwanese quick foods. Adding a twist to the bubble tea culture, "Tea-Tails" are invented for a creative menu and experience as well. Tom, Restaurant, Food, and Beverage Management alumni from JWU, created the menu and manages the food operations in the business. Jenny, Intar alumni from RISD, designed the interior of Charuma Tea Bar. Tony, ID alumni from RISD, created the branding for Charuma Tea Bar, Including logo, business cards, and merchandise packaging (Cup, Paper Bag, etc) designs.
