RISD Community Members Host Fine Art & Craft Sale to Support LA Artists Affected by Wildfires
Gina Farkaš MArch 16, and her mother, Heidi Farkash P 16, owner of Union Hall Gallery in San Diego, have helped organize a fine art and craft sale supporting Los Angeles area artists devastated by the LA wildfires.
This collective effort by the San Diego arts community features more than 400 works donated by over 150 artists and collectors. The sale will be an “eclectic” mix of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, glasswork, metalwork and more, including works by RISD community members Sibyl Rubottom 64 PT P 00, Shauni Hope Lin MArch 16, the late Italo Scanga P 86 and Paula Wittner 70 PH.

The wildfires have resulted in an outpouring of support for those living in the impacted areas. Los Angeles has long had a vibrant artist community, and many have lost everything in the fires. In a recent article by There San Diego Farkash said, “This event is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a statement of solidarity and a testament to the power of art to uplift and rebuild.”
100% of the proceeds will benefit Grief and Hope: LA Art World Fire Relief Fund.
