
Alumni-led architecture firm wins coveted awards
Newport Architecture Firm Estes Twombly + Titrington Architects Wins Four Design Awards from the American Institute of Architects Rhode Island
NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND – Newport architecture firm Estes Twombly + Titrington received four design awards from the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects last week at the organization’s annual award celebration.
Partners Jim Estes BArch 72 and Peter Twombly Barch 80 are RISD graduates.
The awards were for
Overlap Gallery in Newport (founded by RISD alum Susie Matthews MAT 98) won a coveted Honor Award for Commercial/Institutional Architecture
Slide-By House in Westport, MA, won a Merit Award for residential architecture
Cape Cod Hemp House, located in Harwichport, MA, was honored with a Sustainable Architecture Merit Award
Woods Hole House in Woods Hole, MA, won a Residential Architecture Citation.
The awards program, held annually, celebrates excellence in architecture and honors Rhode Island architects and project teams who create and enhance the built environment.
