Secretary of the Board of AIA NY
Scott W. Briggs, AIA, has been elected to serve a 3-year term as Secretary of the Executive Board of the 2020 AIA New York Board of Directors.
His election was announced at the AIA New York’s annual Board Inaugural on December 10, 2019. Scott has been a Board member of the AIA New York City Chapter for the past two years. He is a Senior Associate at Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership, New York.
“I look forward to continuing to serve the AIA New York chapter and working with our Board on initiatives including advocating for architects as key influencers of the built environment and its impact. We continue to work to strengthen ties within the profession, promote more public awareness concerning the role of architects, and develop new opportunities for career discovery and entry to the profession. Expanding diversity and inclusion across the profession will continue to be a priority,” he says.
