Alum debuts graphic novel
The debut graphic novel from Clarisse Angkasa 19 IL, Stories of the Islands, is coming out on October 31.
Published by Holiday House, it's a collection of Indonesian folktales reimagined through a feminist lens, a project that first started as an ISP at RISD in 2019.
Stories of the Islands has been named a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and has received several reviews, including a starred review from Booklist. Preorders are available now anywhere books are sold.
