Alum's work showcased on HGTV
On the current season of My Lottery Dream Home, host David Bromstad is wearing jewelry from the Illuminations collection, created by Georgianna Koulianos 88 JM.
Jewelry and adornment have been Koulianos' focus since she graduated from the Jewelery + Metalsmithing program in 1988. She started her business shortly thereafter, focusing her initial collection on words, intention and healing. Jewelry was Koulianos' medium of choice, as she hoped that it was the ideal avenue for her work to reach many people. Her work has since been sold internationally in galleries, boutiques and department stores.
Working in sterling silver and gold, it has always been important to Koulianos that her work has a voice and serves as adornment with meaning. She believes that as an artist, it is equally important to keep growing and evolving to the changes in society and life.
It was Koulianos' dream to launch her Illuminations collection in 2020, all handcrafted in New York in 18k gold. This collection is based on antique family crests and coats of arms. Illuminations represents identity and legacy. The jewelry is also meant to act as a protective talismans with stories and symbols.
Koulianos is excited to share that as part of the current launch of Illuminations, her sterling designs are being worn by David Bromstad on this season of HGTV's My Lottery Dream Home. David is also an artist, and there couldn't be a more perfect canvas for launching and showing the new collection.
More information can be found on Koulianos' website and Instagram. Custom work is also available.
