
Alum recognized with NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship
Emily Ann Hoffman was recognized with a 2024 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Video/Film.
Hoffman is a multidisciplinary filmmaker, animator, artist, and Professor. Her films have screened at numerous festivals, including Sundance, SXSW, and Slamdance, and have earned her Oscar-qualifying awards.
She has participated in prestigious programs such as the Warner Bros. Discovery Access Directors Program, the New York Film Festival Artist Academy, Sundance Institute’s Sundance Ignite, The Gotham TV-series lab and market, and the Jacob Burns Film Center’s Creative Culture.
Hoffman holds a BFA degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and serves as an Assistant Professor of Animation at NYU Tisch.
The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship makes unrestricted cash grants of $8,000 to New York State-based artists working in 15 disciplines, recognizing five disciplines per year on a triennial basis. This program is administered by New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
