Lee Ann Scotto Adams (b. 1981) is a RI-based artist who frequently paints suburban houses in Rhode Island and surrounding New England and uses the concept of the house as a representation of a psychological state in her work. She often works in an alla prima technique on paper to capture the immediacy of a sensation. She uses visible brushstrokes and works quickly to evoke a contained freedom; an expansive state of mind contained within a structure.
