This piece is the Seven of Cups from the Lubanko Tarot, a richly-illustrated 78 card tarot deck exploring the surreal, the intense, the queer, and the divine. The piece expresses a delving into the golden-flickering waters of the subconscious and its many winding hallways. It was painted digitally with brushes custom-made by the artist, to mimic the experience of painting with frenetic dry-brush technique.
The Lubanko Tarot is a high-intensity tarot deck and tool that explores the range of life in a mythical, sensuous, colorful, queer, and unapologetic lens. Originally an indie release on Kickstarter in 2020, it is now published with Llewellyn Worldwide publishing this October 2025. The deck comes with an accompanying 244 page book also written by Lubanko, as well as 80 paintings/cards.
