"Reflective Refuge" (2022)

Reflective Refuge was a study of hands, faces, glass and reflections. It was created from a photo in the dining room of my home for the purpose of artistic competitions. I like to work with colored pencils, and push them to a level that can compete with oil and acrylic paints. This drawing was created on a light brown Canson Paper and is supposed to illustrate strength, as in the eye of the model, and vulnerability with the use of glass and the positioning of her head. It's my belief that we are all composed of these elements.
