This image celebrates a little girl’s joyful, full body immersion in wet, mucky sand. Painting enables me to stop time and preserve fleeting moments such as this. My process is a delicate balance of sculpting the watercolor and allowing unexpected watermarks to imply texture and detail. Much of my work depicts people, often children, exploring secluded spaces in the natural world. My RISD Illustration degree empowers me to tell these timeless stories through narrative art that forms connections with viewers.
