"To the Monkeys" (2012)

To the Monkeys' is from the children's book 'Nana and the Banana', by Brad Burgunder. When Naomi finds a banana, she and Nana go on an adventure through the zoo to discover the owner.

Artists Statement:

When I was a child, there was a passion within me to create and record the events and feelings of the world around me. I attempt to capture the little moments that define who we are. My personal commitment to making art captures emotions through line, color, and movement using a variety of mediums, such as, watercolor, acrylics, charcoal, colored pencil and computer.

Whether it is joy or solitude, I am taken to that time, place and feeling while designing the compositions. Art has been an enduring part of my life and always will be.

I work as an illustrator and animator, with several personal animated films screening and winning awards in various festivals. Illustration has always been the start of any animation I have created.
