This comic strip was one of a weekly series that ran for 20 years in New York's alternative newspaper, the Village Voice. It is included in 'Stan Mack's Real Life Funnies, The Collected Conceits, Delusions, and Hijinks of New Yorkers from 1974 to 1995' (2024, Fantagraphics Books). illustration, the art of illuminating a text, is for me, critical to taking the reader by the hand into the world of the words.
