This watercolor and graphite depiction of a fast food sandwich dripping with meat and cheese was an offhand creation inspired by a coupon circular stuffed in my mailbox. While not all of my artwork has an immediately obvious or coherent narrative, I am informed by various techniques of illustration such as combining imagination and photo reference, utilizing cartoon-like exaggeration, and employing composition and color theory to create an eye-catching piece.
