Reunion Weekend

May 30–June 2, 2024

Will we see you over Reunion Weekend? Registration opens next week, and we encourage our reunion class alumni to visit their class pages and register for their events. While you are there, check out your class yearbook or portfolio and class notes sections. We have an activity-filled weekend planned, so even if you are not in this year's reunion cycle, we hope you will stop by and enjoy our family-friendly and open community events.

Founders Day

Nearly 150 years after its founding, RISD remains a place for innovation and experimentation. Each March, we honor the bold idea that grew into our global creative community. Join us in celebrating with campus events, RISD store discounts, free museum days and alumni service events.

Nancy Elizabeth Prophet: I Will Not Bend An Inch

Now on view

The first museum survey celebrating the art and legacy of under-recognized 20th-century sculptor, Nancy Elizabeth Prophet. Prophet was one of the first known women of color to graduate from RISD and her work reflects skills developed through academic training with a distinctly Modernist sensibility.

State-of-the-Art Jacquard Loom Expands Possibilities for Weaving at RISD

After years of hard work and planning by over 20 RISD faculty and staff, alumni, industry consultants and engineers, the most advanced Jacquard loom on the market was installed in the Metcalf Building on North Main Street.

RISD Reads Spring Selection

RISD Reads invites all alumni to join them in reading their spring book selection: The Accidental Creative: How to Be Brilliant at a Moment's Notice by Todd Henry. Unleash your creative potential and focus on the things that matter most to you.

Digital Commons: RISD Student Newspapers

Since the early 20th Century, RISD students have released many different publications. From student-led yearbooks, newspapers and broadsheets to zines, comic books and more, RISD Archives has been working to digitize them and make them available on the Digital Commons.

Affinity Group Spotlight: RISD Asian Alumni

RISD Asian Alumni is inclusive of alumni of all nationalities and heritage from across the Asian continent and islands, living both in the US and internationally. The group is hosting a virtual webinar to discuss Careers in Web3 this March. We hope you will join us.
