Work Description:
Who are we, and where do we come from? The materials that compose our physical body are stardust from the Big Bang, about 13.8 billion years ago. So, we are the children of stars, really.
Artist Statement:
Sang Eun Dawn Lee, a RISD ’14 Illustration alumna, is an astronomy enthusiast who seeks to bridge the gap between science and art. Through her work, she translates the vast and complex narratives of the cosmos into approachable, visually poetic forms. Her aim is to share the wonder of the outer worlds with warmth and accessibility, inviting audiences to feel both connected and comforted by the stars.
