Alum launches Spellphabet
A year and half ago Xin Xin 12 FAV quit a full time job to start their own company. They just launched their first product called Spellphabet!
Spellphabet is a game that teaches young kids spelling, phonetics, and sight reading. They wanted the illustrations to feel like they came out of a storybook so Xin spend time hand-painting everything with watercolor. There are more than 550 words and many of them have special behaviors and animations. Making the game took a blend of skills from illustration, animation, and design. Originally the game came out of a prototype that Xin and their friends and made during a weekend at the annual Global Game Jam. Their kids loved it and we decided to work on it full time. We're really excited for people to check it out! You can try the game for free from the App Store.
