"Washed Away"
The Union of Maine Visual Artists (UMVA) presents a unique exhibition of work dealing with change from both environmental and personal perspectives, delving into how constant change impacts the world as we know it, or used to know it. The exhibition will be held at Portland Public Library, 5 Monument Square, in downtown Portland, from May 2 to June 21, 2025.
As we continue to face the realities of our troubled planet, what will be lost? What may remain or be saved? WASHED AWAY offers visitors an opportunity to explore these challenging and complex issues through the eyes of Maine painters, sculptors, printmakers, collagists, video artists, book artists, and photographers.
