Ragnarök Comics
Since graduating in 1972 Walter Simonson has worked primarily in the comic book industry as both a writer and artist. Currently, he is working on an ongoing comic, published sporadically by IDW as he gets story arcs done. The comic is called Ragnarök and is his own take on the Norse myths, expanding particularly on their version of the end of all things. Recently, the 3rd volume of the comic, The Breaking of Helheim, won the 2021 National Cartoonists Society Division award for Best Comic Book. Simonson was both completely surprised and quite delighted. He has shared his acceptance speech which, in the era of Covid, was recorded slightly earlier than its release.
