Alum wins Gold Graphis Poster Award
Zharia Shinn won a Gold Graphis Poster Award 2026 for her collage artwork on the “A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical” Broadway poster.
From The View and Good Morning America, to its Time Square billboard debut during the 2025 New Years Eve ball drop, the poster has been seen and admired all around the world. Working with AD and graphic designer Christina D’Angelo at The Pekoe Group, Shinn created the poster’s artwork in her unique paper collage style to bring the story to life. The show tells the story of jazz icon Louis Armstrong's life through the perspectives of his four wives: Daisy Parker, Lil Hardin, Alpha Smith, and Lucille Wilson.
