"20–21" Series
Phyllis Palmer recently completed a series of paintings titled, "20–21" done during the pandemic.
For the most part Phyllis is a figure painter working with live models but because of the virus she had to rely on drawings from the past. She found poses that evoke joy, sorrow, fear and love. These paintings measure 40" square, and are egg tempera on plaster on gatorboard mounted on stretchers. They were part of my open studio in August called "Inside Out" as she hung the paintings on the outside of the studio building.
