Alum publishes article in School Arts Magazine
Kimberly Olson 92 IL/MAT 93 recently published an advocacy article for early learners in School Arts Magazine (March 2025 Page 20).
As an Art Educator for 22 years in a Title I public elementary school in a state that is proposing to eliminate the Arts in public schools, and in light of the current political climate it is a good reminder of the profound impact the Arts has on every one of us. The entire issue is based in Advocacy this month-and just in time for the NAEA convention, where I will be presenting two presentations, one titled "Good Trouble: Leaving the Masters Behind to Ethically Share Diverse Works with Elementary Students," which is based on my action Research through my Teacher Leader position with the Connected Arts Network.
