
In September 2020, Laurie McDonald FAV 74, won a finalist award from the Southwest Book Design and Production competition for her book What It Means: Myth, Symbol, and Archetype in the Third Millennium, Vol. 1.
What It Means is a collection of semiserious semiotic essays that examines how myth, symbol, and archetype manifest in everyday American life in the early third millennium. The book was written for readers interested in cultural studies, mythology, language, human behavior, philosophy, and anthropology, and interprets the peculiarities of the times.
