Spring Lake Wooden Sculptures
Morgan’s recent sculptures build upon his urban archaeological series, and propel him into the realm of natural history.
The new work focuses on the study of fallen plants and other natural objects in their wilted, degenerative state. They highlight the intrigue and beauty in an overlooked, everyday object. A single fallen piece of lichen may be one in a thousand, all looking very much the same, but Morgan’s sculptures allow you to stop and look at their form, to study it in its own right, and to see how stunning and complex it truly is.
