Recording COVID-19 Experiences in Virginia
Currently, I am curating a collection of materials expressing COVID-19 experiences for the local history archive at the Fairfax County Public Library in Fairfax, VA where I work as a Virginia Specialist Librarian. Drawings, photographs, journal entries, video clips, and other material submitted digitally contribute to a collection that will represent the variety of experiences of county residents during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. The diversity and creativity of the responses has been fascinating. Eventually I hope this local collection will be digitally linked with other regional collections to enable people to gain a bigger picture of the experience.
