I run a Chicago-based design studio, MK Studio, that, in normal times, focuses on physical experience design and community place-making projects.
But like so many businesses and community members, we've had to adapt and try to re-focus during these unprecedented times. As a RISD Alumni and small business owner, I wanted to reach out in order to share some exciting news —in an effort to help keep us feeling connected and inspired during this time, MK Studio is launching a project series called Shared Experiences. As we adjust to this new normal, I know we are all searching for sources of inspiration and ways to stay happy and healthy, and I am putting together some fun activities, creative prompts, and community-driven projects that can help keep us all connected and inspired while we feel so far apart. The current projects include the Window Gallery Project, the GIFTree animated virtual postcard program, the Coloring Pages Project, and there are more projects to come!
