Alum featured on "Makers Way"
Emily Kalina 03 IL was featured on Makers Way a curated discovery of incredible local makers and their products in the places they create. Producers wanted to build one of their episodes around Emily and the way she creates artwork (painting on an iPad in the same manner she would on canvas), as well as her remarkable recovery from a debilitating seizure disorder with help from a cutting edge brain implant. In 2001 Emily actually had a grand mal seizure in the processional of my graduation from RISD.
The episode also features an adjunct faculty at RISD.
