Gold Medal at the Student Academy Awards
I have been truly honored and blessed to receive the Gold Medal for Domestic Animation at the Student Academy Awards at the virtual ceremony held on October 21st.
While it's been a strange year for me and my film, the critique and community I had from my classmates and thesis advisors in FAV at RISD not only helped make the film what it is, but helped me push onward to finish when we had to leave campus and work from our homes. The last time a RISD student won the gold medal at SAA was in 1993, and I only hope that me winning it this year paved the way for other RISD students to follow and tell their own stories in the unique way only RISD FAV knows how to.
