I am a creator, maker and educator — with a deep love for humans — providing emotionally shifting experiences through design strategy and design execution.
With COVID flipping the world on its head, it has shed a light on various emotional elements within our social sectors of life—inequality. With much time to ponder and dive deep into my thoughts—as our world suffers with forced isolation—I have reflected on the times in life where I have felt the most shame and unease: bullying.
Our lack of empathy and strength of ego drives people in our society to put others down, seeing people not for who they are but what they want to see. My company's Same Same But Different's mission is to help drive change through its messaging and visual voice.
Same Same But Different is a visual advocate for love, equality, and anti-bullying through its brand messaging; we all love the same, but share it differently. Our mission is simple: take action in our world for positive change by supporting affirming learning environments for LGBTQ youth. 15% of every purchase goes towards GLSEN, the K-12 LGBTQ anti-bullying non-profit.
